About very Wendy
Owner Wendy DeFeudis is a life long fitness and wellness enthusiast who has been practicing and teaching fitness, art and mind/body integration for more than twenty years. A natural athlete and perpetual student, Wendy is passionate about keeping mentally and physically fit. With the opening of Very Wendy Studios, Wendy combines her love of art, fitness and mindfulness, aiming to offer her clients' experiences that will enrich their bodies, minds and souls.
Art is at the heart of Wendy's daily mindfulness practice. She is an accomplished fashion artist who created Very Wendy Designs, offering custom illustrations and live sketching services. Wendy's work has been published in several national magazines: W Magazine, InStyle, Bride's and Wedding Dresses. Wendy's clients include some of the world's top fashion brands: Vogue, Elle, W, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Jones New York, Macy's and many others.
In 2016, Wendy published Very Wendy's Fashion Coloring Book, a collection of 30 designs from the 1900s to present day. Available on Amazon, Wendy created her book to offer a creative and fun mindfulness activity for anyone to enjoy.
Wendy holds certifications with E-RYT 200 Yoga Alliance, Josh Summers School of Yin Yoga, National Association of Sports Medicine, Power Pilates, Barre Method and Body Combat. Wendy has also completed courses of study at UMASS Mindfulness Center and the highly esteemed Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California where she studied Gabrielle Roth's 5 Rhythms Dance and deepened her Yoga practice. Wendy attended Boston University's School of Journalism and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross. In 2000, Wendy studied abroad earning a Fashion Degree Certificate from Istituto Marangoni in Milan Italy.
